MainConcept-DivX LLC invites candidates for
WhiteBox QA Engineer position.
We welcome candidates interested in software testing methodologies, including test design, iteration planning and defect tracking.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• 2+ years of experience in developing and testing complex software applications in C\C++
• At least the applicant must have to be able read the code.
• Solid technical and intuitive understanding of how software works (and breaks)
• Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python, Lua, etc.)
• Working knowledge of software development lifecycle principles and QA methodologies
• Proficiency in test automation design and implementation for complex products.
• An understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Energy and desire to deliver high-quality software on aggressive schedules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ADDITIONAL NICE TO HAVE PREFERENCES & REQUIREMENTS: • Experience working with distant and international teams
• Experience testing native multimedia software, across a range of platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, embedded systems and consumer electronics devices
• Ability to create test plans and define test cases from established project requirements, functional and design specifications
• Experience using software test tools and knowledge of how to properly interpret their results
• Experience with Quality Assurance best practices and varied engineering processes (e.g., waterfall, scrum, kanban)
• Familiarity with multimedia technology is a major plus
• Experience with bugtracking tools like Mantis, Jira or similar
• Familar with SVN (Subversion)
• Knowledge of web languages like html, php, etc would be a big plus
• Shell programming under OSX, Android, iOS
• Experience with Tcl/Tk
• Some Experience with Ant
• Some Experience with cmake
